Henrick Alforque among Claremont colts best in third straight victory to continue impressive WAFL start

Exciting small forward Henrick Alforque continued his impressive WAFL form, helping Claremont colts record their fifth win of the season in round eight on Saturday.

The Railways and Albany product was named among the Tigers best players in their 21-point win over Peel Thunder.

Alforque was superb kicking 2.1 from 16 disposals and had seven inside-50s and laid four tackles.

In his three games this season Alforque has kicked five goals and is averaging 12 disposals and more than six tackles per game.

North Albany junior Talon Delacey keeps racking up the possessions, finding the ball 22 times to go with five inside-50s and tackles and four marks.

The Tigers league side moved to the top of the ladder after prevailing in a tense contest by seven points over the Thunder.

Great Southern trio Declan Mountford, Tom Baldwin and Dylan Smallwood were a part of the win in which the Tigers kicked five goals to two in the final quarter.

Mountford, a ex-North Albany midfielder, finished with seven tackles, 13 touches and five inside-50s.

Jerramungup and Royals product Baldwin had 10 disposals while Dylan Smallwood was vital in defence.

Borden’s Anthony Davis, North Albany’s Alex Pearce and Royals and Albany junior Tyron Smallwood played key roles in the Tigers reserves winning by 74 points.

Davis picked up 18 touches, five tackles and two marks while Pearce was the leading possession getter in the game with 26 to go with five marks, three tackles and six inside-50s.

Tyron Smallwood kicked 1.1 from 23 disposals, five marks and five inside- 50s.
