Albany woke to find a unique piece of public art atop its beloved Dog Rock landmark on Tuesday.

Someone scaled the landmark on Monday night and placed a bed, bedside and lamp at the summit.

The mysterious makeshift accommodation got tongues wagging on the Albany Advertiser’s Facebook page before it was pulled down later in the day.

Even the real Dog Rock Motel got in on the act, commenting “we were full” on a video on the Advertiser page.
