Brendon Fitzgerald stable in hot form after training a double at Narrogin

Capel trainer Brendon Fitzgerald kickstarted his hot run of form at Narrogin with a winning double on December 19.

Fitzgerald teamed up with jockey Fiona Bell to produce Dalalah and Tampering Falls to win on the seven-race program before he prepared a double at Bunbury Turf Club the following day.

Dalalah, a seven-year-old mare, jumped as an outsider in the seven-horse field but produced a sharp turn of foot to claim victory by a head on the line.

After settling last in running, Bell found a split in the straight and speared through a gap to grab the lead in the final stride and down True Ora in race two.

Tampering Falls was able to dig deep to grab victory in the TABtouch Better Your Bet Handicap (1100m) by 1 1/2 lengths.

Bell settled the five-year-old up outside the leader and grabbed the lead at the top of the straight before kicking clear to defeat Reaction.

Leading WA trainer Adam Durrant also tasted success at Narrogin as Snipillicious finally broke maiden status at his fifth career start.

The three-year-old has been disappointing at his last two starts, but apprentice Austin Galati was able to lift him over the line to win race one by a neck.

King Cabernet (race three), You Am I (race four), Boyish (race five) and Massa Mac (race seven) were the other winners on the program.

Narrogin Race and Pace will hold a seven-race program to kick off 2021 tomorrow, with the first race to be run at 1.48pm.
