Festive spirit shines bright as Shire of Narrogin announces winner of annual Christmas lights competition

Narrogin’s festive spirit has shone bright again in 2021, with the Shire of Narrogin announcing the winners of its annual Christmas lights competition.

The judges were Shire councillors Jacqui Early and Roxanne McNab, who spent several nights searching Narrogin and Highbury for the most impressive lights displays.

The winners were announced at the Shire’s final ordinary council meeting of the year on December 15.

The top three homes received Narrogin Chamber of Commerce vouchers redeemable at any business which is a member of the chamber.

In first place, winning a $250 voucher, was 60 Forrest Street in Narrogin.

The runner-up was 27 Furnival Street in Narrogin ($200 voucher), while 10 Daglish Street in Narrogin finished third ($150 voucher).

“Thank you to everyone who has gone to so much effort to help celebrate the festive season in Narrogin,” Councillors Early and McNab said.

“It was a pleasure to judge this year’s Christmas lights on behalf of the Shire.”

Meanwhile, the Narrogin Chamber of Commerce’s Best CBD Business Window competition returned for another year, this time with two prizes up for grabs.

As judged by the chamber, the $150 voucher for first place was won by Knightline and the $50 for second went to Wild & Waste Free.
