IN PICTURES: Upper Great Southern Football League comes together for Leo Graham Medal count in Pingelly

About 150 Upper Great Southern Football League players, coaches, supporters and members gathered in Pingelly on Monday night as the Brookton-Pingelly Football Club hosted the 2023 Leo Graham Medal count and annual dinner. A host of awards were presented at the event, highlighted by the Leo Graham Medal as the UGSFL’s fairest and best player in the league competition. “The 2023 Leo Graham Medal — it’s going to be an exciting night,” UGSFL president Yogi Melvin said. “When the season started we’d lost Brookton-Pingelly, but hopefully for only a 12 month period. “We’ve had seven sides and we’ve played 14 rounds over a 17-week season — it’s been trying here at times and I thank you all for your support, you do a fantastic job.” Master of ceremonies Tim Haslam led proceedings and the awarding of the Leo Graham Medal came down to the final round of the season as William’s Simon Panizza claimed the medal on 27 votes.
