The Shire of Pingelly will soon select a new chief executive after Julie Burton announced she would step down from the role in late June to take up a position at the Shire of Boddington.

Ms Burton, who will be leaving after almost two years at the helm, said she was pleased with her time with the Shire of Pingelly.

She will join the Shire of Boddington as its new chief executive in June.

“I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I would like to extend my sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your commitment and support during my time here,” she said.

Ms Burton’s tenure as chief executive was also praised by Shire president Bill Mulroney, who said he understood her decision and was grateful for her service.
