Victoria has recorded 1252 new cases of coronavirus, along with five deaths.

The latest figures come after the state reached the milestone of 90 per cent of people older than 12 being fully vaccinated.

Saturday’s numbers are down on Friday’s 1362 new cases and seven deaths.

There are now 299 infected Victorians in hospital, with 42 in active intensive care units and 22 on a ventilator.
