Craig Bellamy has denied he ever pledged to run naked around a golf course should good friend Ricky Stuart’s Raiders beat his Melbourne Storm for a fourth straight time.

The Storm are hoping to turn around a run of three straight losses to the Raiders when they clash on Saturday night, with Stuart revealing Bellamy is very confident heading into the clash.

“Any team coached by Craig Bellamy you know they are going to be ready,” Stuart said.

“I certainly know they are going to be ready. I spoke to Craig during the week and he said that there is no way in the world you will get us four times in a row.

“He’s pretty happy up in camp there. He doesn’t have to pay for a meal. He’s got his grandkids there, so he is in a pretty good space at the moment Bellyache.”

But when quizzed about it hours later, Bellamy denied the bet.

“I heard a little rumour about that,” Bellamy said with a wry smile.

“Rick has told a little fib there. I haven’t actually talked to him this week.

“I might give him a call today actually.”

Stuart was asked if he was hoping for a cold night at GIO Stadium for his old teammate.

“Yeah haha no look in all seriousness it is going to be a hard game,” Stuart said.

Stuart was then asked if he would match Bellamy’s offer if the Storm win.

“No,” Stuart replied with a laugh. “It is too cold here.

“I can assure you that you don’t want to see it either.”
