Hugh Jackman and Deborah-Lee Furness slash $14m off New York penthouse as it struggles to sell after split
Hugh Jackman has dramatically cut the price of his luxury New York penthouse as the A-list property struggles to sell — by a whopping $14 million.
The Wolverine star has relisted the sprawling West Village home he co-owns with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness for $41.67 million — down from its original $56.38 million asking price.
Despite its celebrity pedigree, the high-end triplex has failed to attract a buyer since first hitting the market in 2022.
The three-level apartment, set inside a glass-fronted building designed by famed architect Richard Meier, spans about 1000sqm across three floors.
It boasts a dramatic double-height living space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River, a spiral staircase, multiple terraces and sweeping views stretching to the Statue of Liberty.
The home includes four ensuite bedrooms, a library, recreation spaces, a professional-grade kitchen and an entire top-floor master suite complete with a sauna, dressing rooms and private studio.
But the eye-watering ongoing costs may be turning buyers off — with monthly expenses topping $318,879, including more than $68,124 in strata fees.
Jackman and Furness bought the penthouse for $30.43 million in 2008 and have been offloading parts of their property portfolio since their split in 2023 after nearly 30 years together.
Jackman has since announced his new relationship with The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster, with the couple reportedly living in the penthouse.
New Idea revealed in 2025 that Jackman and Foster were residing in the apartment while looking for the “perfect family home”.
A source told the publication that Foster was reluctant to live in the home Jackman had shared with his former wife.
“Sutton is still nervous about taking that big step into Hugh’s world,” they said.
It was later reported that Furness was “shattered” that Jackman and Foster were in the penthouse.
“Deb is shattered knowing Sutton is making the penthouse her own — the place she poured her soul into,” a source told Sky News.
