IN PICTURES: Players, officials and supporters fill Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre for annual tournament

Players, officials and supporters gathered at Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre for the annual Great Southern Badminton Association tournament on August 2 and 3. The event attracted competitors from as far away as Perth and Esperance as teams of six enjoyed two days of matches, a dinner and a quiz night. The field of 96 was a record though organisers are hoping for it to be even bigger next year when more courts become available. The division one tournament winners were team M*A*S*H who had two members from Albany, Vincent Phan and Shannen Higginson. Albany’s Will Emery was a member of division two champions The Simpsons.
