Thousands of homes and businesses around Albany were without power for hours on Tuesday, as multiple blackouts affected more than a dozen suburbs.
Wild weather overnight caused an initial outage just after 6am on Tuesday morning, with Western Power reporting 2910 customers affected in 15 Albany suburbs including Goode Beach, Mt Melville, Little Grove, Yakamia, and Orana.
By 6.37am, Western Power confirmed all power had been restored.
However, the power switched off again just before 7.30am, with more than 2900 customers again affected in 15 suburbs.
Western Power estimated power would be restored by noon.
After a short reprieve with power on, a third outage hit about 12.40pm, with 1693 customers affected in 12 suburbs including Little Grove, Torndirrup, Mt Elphinstone, Frenchman Bay, Robinson, Mt Melville, Big Grove, Lockyer, Vancouver Peninsula, Yakamia, Albany and Good Beach.
Power was restored about 3pm.
