A passenger has been abandoned on the side of the road and two drivers are missing in a bizarre crash south-east of Perth on Tuesday night.
WA Police say that a black Toyota Yaris Cross hatchback and a white Ford Ranger ute were travelling on Gibbs Road in Queens Park when they collided about 9.45pm on Tuesday.
The Toyota lost control and came to a stop in a ditch near the intersection of Railway Parade and Wharf Street, while the Ford came to a stop on a footpath and caught fire.
Both drivers fled the scene.
The passenger of the Toyota - was abandoned on the side of the road and was assessed by paramedics before they were taken to hospital for treatment.
WA Police wouldn’t say whether they will be formally interviewing the passenger to ask them who was driving the vehicle, as part of their investigation.
Emergency service crews, including the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, extinguished the blaze.
Cannington detectives are investigating and are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online here. Reports can remain anonymous.
