A woman has been charged with murder after police found the body of a pre-schooler at a home.
Police rushed to the Wyong home, on the NSW Central Coast, after the 32-year-old woman presented to the local police station on Saturday afternoon.
Officers tried to speak to the woman, but were unable to so.
The body of the child, believed to be a four-year-old boy, was found inside the home with significant arm injuries.
The child is yet to be formally identified, but the woman, who was later arrested, is believed to be known to him.
She was charged on Sunday with domestic violence-related murder.
Local police remain at the scene investigating the incident with help from the state's Homicide Squad.
The woman was refused bail to appear before court later in the day.
