46-year-old Katanning man in position of authority charged with child sex offences against 17-year-old

A Katanning man in a position of authority has been charged with child sex offences. The 46-year-old appeared in Katanning Magistrates Court on Tuesday on two counts of a person in authority indecently dealing with a child. It is alleged the man committed the offences, which involved a 17-year-old, in Katanning on July 31 and August 16. The case was adjourned until October 3 when he will also appear in Katanning Magistrates Court for separate matters. The name, location, and occupation of the accused have been suppressed by the court.
