Katanning Golf Club crowned its summer champions earlier this month after a competition that was highlighted by an enthralling battle between Ryan Flugge and Jack Sergeant in both the gross and nett divisions.

Four qualifying rounds throughout the summer decided the champions, with each player’s two best scores counting towards the final standings.

Flugge was able to defeat Sergeant in the best gross score before the tables were turned in the best nett score.

Flugge shot 146 over his two best rounds to edge out Sergeant on 155 and claim the best gross score for the club.

Sergeant was able to get one back on Flugge in the best nett score scoring 136 over his two rounds while Flugge ended up on 141 to be runner-up.
