Smiles ran from ear to ear as thousands of people gathered at Katanning’s Quatermaine Oval last weekend to celebrate the 132nd edition of the Katanning Agricultural Show. A tranquil and cool Friday evening provided show-goers with a teaser of the vibrant and eventful Saturday that lay ahead. The free entry show catered to all interests with sheep musters, equestrian displays, shearing competitions and art exhibitions providing a mere glimpse of the diverse offerings that delighted the crowd. Food trucks took people around the globe as cuisines from Africa, Asia, Europe and America filled the air with sumptuous aromatics. Youngsters had the chance to get up close and personal with animals in Old McDonald’s Farm while only the bravest thrillseekers dared to take on The Zipper. Alongside these attractions, novelty circus games and hobby shops lined the sideshow alley, providing fun for families and friends. The festivities concluded on Saturday evening, with a spectacular fireworks display, leaving lasting memories for all who attended.
