The staff at a not-for-profit Katanning community hub were left to clean up the damage after a thief broke into the centre.

The Katanning Hub Community Resource Centre was targeted before dawn on July 12.

Police are still chasing the culprit.

Katanning Police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Carlos Correia said the offender broke into the Austral Terrace premises about 5.30am through the front door.

“They have stolen some items from the CRC and left on foot,” he said.

“We will be following leads up, so if members of the community have any information, please come forward.”

Images of the suspected culprit have been released, showing a person with a white hoodie and dark-coloured pants walking near the Austral Terrace footpath.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestopperswa.com.au.
