KNA 2024: League embraced Wednesday and Saturday fixtures for association championships bye

The Katanning Netball Association competition this week consisted of two rounds for seniors including a midweek Wednesday night game.

Kojonup had two derby games at home in division A1 and A3 with Kojonup 1 slamming Kojonup 2 in a fun, high-paced game.

In A3 Kojonup 3 defeated their sister team Kojonup 4, 46-23.

Back in Katanning, A1 showcased an almighty game between Cardinals Force and Olympians 1 in such a close goal-by-goal contest the whole way, but it was Cardinals who punched through sinking two goals to notch the 39-37 win.

Allstars 1 entered the court with their foot straight down against Te Taitonga 1.

With a clear vision, Allstars 1 ran away with a whopping 77-30 win.

A2 had a massive game between Allstars 2 and Te Taitonga 2 who were both hungry for the win and Allstars 2 won by three goals, 43-40.

Dumbleyung struggled a bit against Cardinals Fever however they pulled themselves together to score a steady 37-31 victory.

Broomehill remained undefeated, against Olympians 2, keeping it double the pace winning 50-25.

In A3, Cardinals Phoenix notched their second win of the season with Te Taitonga 3 right behind, 35-30.

Saturday was an all-day event as usual.

Net Set kicked off, a vibrant bunch of little kids.

Go junior had more skills and team bonding happening than ever.

In juniors Nutrien Firebirds had a win over Kojonup Emeralds, 32-17.

NAB Lightning kept Kojonup Sapphires close to their sister team, 36-24.

QFH Vixens had a close game but managed to hold a nice buffer against ANZ Swifts, 35-24.

A1 had Olympians 1 net their first win against Kojonup 2 with a 65-29 triumph.

Allstars 1 had a rusty game against Cardinals Force.

Cardinals were unable to keep up with the pace and Allstars 1 scored a good win 49-30.

Te Taitonga 1 had a hard game against Kojonup 1.

Trying to get to the top of the ladder, Kojonup 1 did not let anything stop them, prevailing 54-30.

A2 had Allstars 2 up against Cardinals Fever.

Allstars 2 kept the wins coming and ended with a 32-20 result.

Broomehill found their toughest opponent yet with Te Taitonga 2 determined to rattle the undefeated team. But Broomehill got away with the win, 45-35.

Olympians 2 had no chance with Dumbleyung.

Dumblyung held in there strong, not allowing Olympians 2 a decent chance to win 55-27.

In A3, Kojonup 4 had a strong game against Te Taitonga 3, doubling their opponents’ score to win 48-24.

Cardinals Phoenix had were victorious over Allstars 3 after enjoying a healthy 41-31 victory.

There will be no netball in Katanning over this long weekend.

KNA development teams will be playing in Perth in the association championships.
