Major Crash investigators call for information after death of 47-year-old man in WA’s Great Southern

Major Crash investigators are calling for information about a crash in the Great Southern which claimed the life of a 47-year-old man on Christmas Day.

Police say the man was travelling south on Albany Highway when his Toyota Camry left the road and struck a tree.

Emergency services were called to the crash north of Kendenup just after 11am.

The RAC rescue helicopter was requested after initial reports someone was trapped in the wreckage with serious injuries.

However, the rescue helicopter was stood down a short time later.

The 47-year-old, the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Major Crash officers have examined the scene and appealed for information from the public.
