Laura GrubisaGreat Southern Herald

Six independent living units and one executive residence were officially unveiled in Kojonup last Friday.

The project was made possible by the Royalties for Regions program.

Shire president Ronnie Fleay took time to thank the Department of Regional Development, WA Country Health Service and the Great Southern Development Commission for their financial assistance.

She also thanked Kojonup’s Southern Link VROC partners in the Shires of Broomehill-Tambellup, Cranbrook and Plantagenet for their ongoing support.

Outgoing Member for Wagin Terry Waldron was also in attendance and stressed the importance of Royalties for Regions and its benefits towards regional communities and projects such as the independent living units.
