Season ahead mapped out

Ongerup Football Association Sport fixtures have been released for the upcoming season, with the same five teams as last year.

Boxwood Hill, Gnowangerup, Lake Grace-Pingrup, Newdegate and Jerramungup will all have football, hockey and netball teams in 2020.

Gnowangerup will play host to the grand final on September 5, with Lake Grace and Newdegate hosting the semifinals on August 22 and 23 respectively, while Boxwood Hill will hold the preliminary final on August 29.

The 2020 season for all three codes starts on Saturday, April 18, with Newdegate hosting Boxwood Hill; Jerramungup and Lake Grace-Pingrup doing battle; while Gnowangerup have the opening-round bye.

Supporters do not have to wait long for the football grand final rematch, as Lake Grace-Pingrup host reigning premiers Boxwood Hill on Anzac Day.

The highly popular Borden X Cup will be held again this year, with football and netball teams descending on the small country town on April 4.

The Borden X Cup is in its third year, with teams from across the Great Southern set to take part in the exciting shortened format of the netball and football games.

Prize money will be on offer for the winners.
