Jingalup fatal: Man killed after truck he was driving crashed into tree south-west of Kojonup

A 44-year-old man has died after a truck crashed into a tree near Jingalup, south-west of Kojonup on Thursday morning. Emergency services were called to the crash about 9.15am after a truck towing two trailers left the road and hit a tree on Kojonup-Frankland Road in Jingalup. The man, who was driving the truck, was taken to Kojonup hospital but later died. Police, firefighters and paramedics attended the scene, which happened about 20km south of Blackwood Road. Kojonup-Frankland Road was closed in both directions after the crash. Volunteer firefighters helped clean up a small diesel spill on the road to make it safe for re-opening.
