A sea of yellow and black covered the eastern wing of Clayton Road oval as the Tiger Army converged on Narrogin by the bus load to watch their side make history. Throngs of supporters from Katanning, Williams, Brookton-Pingelly and Narrogin lined the boundary on Sunday to see two classic grand finals in the Upper Great Southern Football League reserves and league fixtures. Williams triumphed over Brookton-Pingelly in a razor-close reserves grand final, booting a goal late in the final quarter to win 10.12 (72) to 11.2 (68). Then, in a league grand final to remember, Katanning kicked a goal in the dying seconds of the game to pull off an upset victory over minor premiers Williams, 12.7 (79) to 11.9 (75). The Tigers came into the game as underdogs after losing their last three clashes with Williams, but went home as premiers.
