Despite the Warriors slotting five more majors in the second term, the persistent Tigers refused to lay down and answered back with three of their own to trail by 24 points at the main break.

However the class of the home side’s best players shone through as midfielder Jack O’Sullivan had a big influence on the game.

The Tigers were held to three goals for the remainder of the game as the Warriors piled on eight majors to emerge comfortable winners.

O’Sullivan, Kye Barker, Jamie Miller, Joe Dowling and Carter Wilson were brilliant for the Warriors alongside electric youngster Cumoram Desmond who kicked three goals.

Captain James Laurino toiled hard for the visitors and was well supported by Liam Hansen, Joshua Pinney, Charlie Tonkin, Khallon Zilm and Caleb Keley.

Elsewhere, a three goal performance from ex-West Coast player Jarrod Cameron set Boddington up for their seventh victory of the year as they beat Narrogin in Boddington on Sunday.

The Eagles held a slender lead at the main break with both teams struggling to hit the scoreboard.

The Hawks, who were missing key playmaker Jordan Heil, struggled to match the Eagles’ scoring pressure and gave up six second half goals to slump to their seventh loss of the year, 8.11 (59) to 5.4 (34).

Meanwhile Kukerin-Dumbleyung snapped a two game losing streak, emerging comfortable winners over Wagin at Matera Oval on Sunday.

The Cougars led at every change to record a convincing 14.7 (91) to 8.8 (56) triumph and strengthen their finals hopes.

Justin Joyce, Marshall Browne, Jordan Jackson, Ryan Smith, Austin Shotter and Patrick Smith were superb for the visitors.

Read was well supported by Jacob Souness (three goals), Lloyd Padwick (two goals) and Mitchell White (two goals) who provided the main avenues to goal.

The Cats fought valiantly to stay in the contest but trailed at every change as the Cougars ran out winners, 14.10 (94) to 9.8 (62).
