IN PICTURES: Katanning Wanderers stars dazzle at annual vote count and awards night

The cream of the crop from a Katanning Wanderers season to remember was celebrated at the club’s vote count and awards night at Katanning Leisure Centre on Saturday. After upsetting the minor premiers in an incredible come-from-behind grand final victory against Williams one week earlier, there was a buzz in the Pioneer Room as players and supporters held on to that winning feeling heading into the off-season. George Warren Medallist from the grand final, James Laurino, was awarded club best and fairest, followed closely by former AFL player Kade Stewart and grand-final hero Khallon Zilm in a tight finish at the top. Raymond Shaw was awarded reserves best and fairest, just ahead of fellow midfielder and best mate Corey Eades. Nearly 200 people showed up in their finest dress for the event, a number Laurino said was a testament to the strong community support the club has in town.
