One lucky Perth punter has had their life changed forever after nabbing a huge Lotto prize earlier this month — and they might not even know yet.
LotteryWest is urging locals across the WA capital to check their Set for Life tickets after a lucky Sandgroper scored a mammoth division one jackpot.
The win — the first in the state since a major boost to the popular game — has netted the punter a jaw-dropping $200,000 prize in addition to monthly payments of $20,000 for two decades.
The lucky division one-winning ticket was bought at Melville Newspower shortly before the blockbuster October 3 draw.
Angela Missackovski, the owner of the southern suburbs newsagency, said the mystery surrounding the winner had sparked excitement through the suburb.
“We love seeing big wins land in our community, and right now there’ll be a lot of people checking pockets, drawers, and gloveboxes hoping they’re holding the winning ticket,” she said.
LotteryWest spokesperson Nikki Wilson-Smith echoed the community excitement, revealing the organisation was “very keen” to unite the Perthian with their prize.
“A prize like this can completely change the direction of someone’s life,” Ms Wilson-Smith said.
“The upfront $200,000 alone can create opportunities many people only dream about, while the ongoing monthly payments provide long-term security.
“We’ve seen first-hand how even a share of a major lottery prize can help people make significant life changes.”
The Set for Life ticket remains the only outstanding division one prize in Western Australia during 2026.
The winning numbers for the October 3 draw were 14, 15, 33, 23, 41, 12, and 18. The supplementary numbers were 26 and 30.
