A magnificent 10-goal haul from Boddington power forward Harry Ellis guided his side to an emphatic 125-point win at home over Kukerin-Dumbleyung in round three of the Upper Great Southern Football League on Saturday. The reigning premiers stormed their way to a second win of the season after booting 15 goals in the second half against the winless Cougars. Ellis was unstoppable in the 22.14 (146) to 2.9 (21) result. The Eagles led by 51 points at half-time before piling on 15 goals to two in the second half. Ellis dominated with 10 majors to take his season tally to 14, while Matthew Thomas (five goals), Jimi Gillespie, Matthew Giumelli and Jake Wilson were all influential in the win. The Cougars had more chances in the second half but were wayward, kicking 2.7. Justin Joyce and Stephen Capelli were the only goal kickers for the Cougars as Abe Davey, Cody Ditchburn and Kent Patterson were among their best players. Wickepin remain undefeated after three rounds as they held off a gallant Williams outfit by 20 points at home on Sunday, the Warriors set up the win in the first half booting four unanswered goals to lead by 26 points. The home side extended the margin to a match-winning 34 points heading into the last term and despite the best efforts of the Cats in the last term they prevailed9.11 (65) to 6.9 (45). James Bristow continued his stellar season kicking four goals in the win and was joined in the best players by Ryan Melvin, Kodie Fleay, Callan Sims and Sam McGillivray. Simon and Nic Panizza and Tom Vellios were strong contributors for the Cats.
