The Narrogin Agricultural Show is back for another year of fun, frivolity and farm shows this Saturday, with organisers fully prepped for the huge day on the annual Wheatbelt calendar.
Celebrating the theme Trains, Tracks and Traditions, the 122nd iteration of the show runs across the Clayton Road Oval complex and will feature all the regular show favourites with a few new additions.
Narrogin Agricultural Society secretary Vicki Chadwick said the organising team had been hard at work since last November to ensure there was “lots on the cards”.
“In terms of new things this year we have traditional Chinese drum performers, a Vietnamese group coming who will be doing music, dance and singing, the Rockingham City Pipe Band performing, and the bushfire emergency services doing road rescue shows and the dunking machine,” she said.
“We also have the usual things which is lots of animals, the fashion parade, market stalls, trade stalls, sheep and wool shows and lots of varieties of food.
“We are have lots of memorabilia and photos on display, fireworks, our regular carnival group who come down for sideshow alley and lots of free entertainment, so we’re really looking forward to it.
“It’s rolling along quite nicely and hopefully we only have a few little issues that pop up to deal with.”
Last year’s show attracted 6500 visitors for the 62 stallholders and 26 entertainment shows, with 36 awards presented across the trade and agricultural competitions.
Tickets for the October 17 show are available online via I Wanna Ticket or at the gate, priced at $16 for adults, $6 for seniors and children aged seven-17, or $30 for a family.
Children under the age of six can enter for free.
