A 70-year-old woman is fighting for life in Royal Perth Hospital after a three-vehicle smash in the Perth Hills on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman had to be rushed to hospital by ambulance following the collision on Canning Road in Carmel.
Police say the woman’s beige Honda Civic sedan, a white Toyota HiLux utility, and a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan collided about 3.30pm.
The impact of the crash left the elderly woman with critical injuries.
The two other drivers involved — a 34-year-old man behind the wheel of the HiLux and a 17-year-old P-plater driving the Mercedes — escaped the carnage with minor injuries.

Sign upThey were both taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.
