Four Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure centres across Perth will open an hour earlier from July.

People will be able to sort driver’s licences, number plates, vehicle registrations and boating fees from as early as 7.15am at Cannington, City West, Mirrabooka and Success.

They will stay open until 5pm. All other metropolitan centres will continue to open at 8.15am and close at 4.30pm.

It follows a two-month trial of extended hours at three Perth centres, which resulted in a 36 per cent reduction in average wait times and 76 per cent satisfaction from customers.
