It means netball fans will be able to closely track the progress of the likes of West Coast Fever premiership player Emma Cosh and former Queensland Firebird and Sunshine Coast Lightning defender Ashlee Unie in the local league.

The duo will be looking to help spearhead Hamersley Comets’ quest for back-to-back titles after the all-conquering club snared championships in both the Open and 20-and-under divisions last season.

Fever training partners Zoe Cransberg and Emma Putt will lead a Western Roar outfit looking to make plenty of noise in the Open competition, with the side coached by Men’s grand final MVP Dylan McPherson.

The introduction of a new team in the Men’s division and an adjustment to the under-20s division are two new initiatives aimed at bolstering the league this season.

The new division age of 21/U will allow older athletes to consolidate their skills and play for another year in the development league.

A familiar face has taken the reigns of the 21/U Rangers team with former Perth Orioles player Rebecca Roberts (nee Elborough) the coaching pickup of the off-season.

West Coast Fever futures athletes Emily Cramond and Grace Jooste will be ones to watch and no doubt thrive under the experience of their coach.

A blockbuster Open division double-header will kick off Streamer’s 2024 coverage on Friday night, with Rangers’ clash against Western Roar starting at 6.30pm and followed by Southside Demons’ match-up against the Fremantle Sharks.
