Aussie Alex de Minaur and Brit Katie Boulter have unveiled images from their luxurious European wedding celebrations, as the two singles tennis stars became one married power couple earlier this month.
The pair tied the knot twice — first in an intimate ceremony in Leicester, where Boulter was raised, and then in a much more elaborate affair at an 800-year-old farmhouse and estate in Tuscany that spanned three days.
Chronicling their love story with British Vogue, the newlyweds revealed a spark was ignited when both found themselves at an Adelaide airport at 6am headed to Melbourne.
Having crossed paths for years on the tennis circuit, they soon learned each had been booked into the same hotel and felt a coffee catch up was in order.
Boulter, 29, had initially ruled out the Aussie, 27, due to him being two years her junior.
“I’m never going to date anyone younger – that’s just not my vibe,” she recalled thinking.
De Minaur popped the question in the Spanish coastal city of Alicante five years later, with the couple confirming their engagement publicly in December 2024.
Their quaint church nuptials in the town of Woodhouse featured just eight guests, and had been planned to accommodate Boulter’s grandfather who lives with dementia and had recently been moved to a care facility.
The world number 67 wore a dress by iconic English designer Vivienne Westwood, with the fifth ranked Aussie donning a single-breasted Ralph Lauren tuxedo in midnight blue.
Flying to Italy the next day, and based in the expansive Borgo Santo Pietro estate, the pair soon enjoyed a rehearsal dinner with a wider guest list that incorporated ingredients sourced from the grounds.
For the ceremony itself, Boulter switched to a Caroline Castigliano dress that featured a piece of fabric from her grandmother’s own dress that the player stitched herself.
Keeping with his Ralph Lauren taste, De Minaur opted for a double-breasted tuxedo, admitting he “wanted to feel like James Bond”.
However, unlike the international spy, the Demon began to sweat when his 1956 Porsche Speedster purchased specifically to whisk his new wife away from the ceremony did not start — on two occasions.
Later, the party saw guests gather in a centuries-old trattoria, with the couple’s first dance to the tune of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
For their final day, they de-stressed with a pool party fuelled by gelato, caprese salads, pizza, and a DJ.
