River cruise company AmaWaterways is planning to have more than 50 ships sailing by 2032.

There will be 15 new ships in Europe, with new vessels added in Africa and Asia.

It announced the ambitious expansion this week.

AmaWaterways currently has 31 ships, three new ones announced for 2027 for the Rhine, Danube and Mekong.

+ AmaNubia sails from September 2026 on the Nile, with 38 staterooms.

+ AmaRudi debuts in 2027, as the line’s second “double-width” ship on the Danube. It will carry up to 196 guests in 98 staterooms.

+ AmaMaya is also launching in 2027 but on the Mekong, and with 60 staterooms.

+ AmaCleo will sail in 2028 on the Nile, expanding AmaWaterways’ presence in Egypt.

+ AmaWaterways is advancing plans for further growth in Africa, including a second ship on the Chobe River alongside Zambezi Queen.
