Hazardous small part found in children’s toy sold at Aldi stores

A popular grocer has recalled a children’s card game after a year of selling a toy which poses risk of serious injury or death.
The recall is issued for the Orchard Toys, ‘Jungle Head & Tails’ animal card game which was sold between December 11 in 2024 and September 11 in 2025, across all Aldi stores nationally.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says the elephant playing piece has a small cardboard disc which can separate from the card and become a hazardous small part.
ACCC said this small cardboard disc “should have been removed from the nose during the manufacturing process”.
Aldi has also issued an alert on their website as the product does not comply with the mandatory standard for toys for children up to and including 36 months.

The major grocer has advised consumers to immediately “stop” using the card game.
“Keep out of reach of children,” the alert said.
All customers have been told to return the item to any Aldi store for a full refund.
