The National Anzac Centre will be back in action next week along with several City of Albany facilities as the State moves into phase three of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

WA will be the first State to move into phase three, which will see the 4sqm per person rule replaced by 2sqm from tomorrow.

Gathering restrictions will be lifted to 100 people per space, with up to 300 people allowed in settings with separated areas.

After closing its facilities to the public since March, the City of Albany began a staged reopening of some services under phase two of restrictions on May 19.

City of Albany chief executive Andrew Sharpe said it was because of the hardwork of the community that the State could bring forward the easing of restrictions.

“This phase we are entering allows the City to provide more services that the community are used to, and continue to support getting the local economy back up and running,” he said

“We are working within the appropriate capacity for maintaining our public health and safety which is a balancing act for every business, organisation and facility across Albany.”
