Motor vehicle sales have dropped almost 50 per cent amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Marketing guru Barry Urquhart from ‘Marketing Focus’.

Speaking to The West Live host Jenna Clarke this morning, Mr Urquhart will reveal the winners and losers out of our hibernation measures.

He’ll point out a few surprising boom spending areas, including pet pampering, food toys and health.

And while food sales seem like an obvious increase amid panic buying and being locked out of restaurants, Mr Urquhart’s research examines our pandemic-altered spending habits.

Later in the show, gardening guru Sabrina Hahn will discuss all things soil and how getting into the backyard can help with mental health.

She’ll also have plenty of tips for all the West Australians trying to turn into a green thumb in isolation.

Channel 7 reporter Geof Parry will also join Jenna today for his weekly politics wrap.
