CBH Group employee dies of ‘serious suspected’ medical episode while at work near Northam

A CBH Group employee has died of a medical episode while at work near Northam. The man — aged in his 30s — suffered a “serious suspected” medical episode at the CBH Avon site at Burlong, at about 1pm on Tuesday. He was rushed to the Northam Health Service but could not be saved. CBH operations chief Mick Daw extended his condolences, and said the Avon site would remain closed until Thursday. “Tragically, the person has passed away,” he said. “His next of kin and family have been notified. “Our deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones, friend and team members during this extremely difficult time.” CBH Group is Australia’s largest agricultural cooperative, and the nation’s leading grain exporter.
