Two teenage boys killed in a horrific crash involving a stolen BMW on Halloween night have been remembered as “a light to everyone” by their heartbroken friends.
The two 16-year-olds were travelling north along Railway Parade in Perth’s Bullsbrook with two friends, both aged 17, when the car veered off the road and struck several trees about 10.20pm on October 31.
The driver and front passenger died at the scene, while two 17-year-olds were rushed to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.
Witnesses Rayle Williams and Ashleigh Turner were on their way home when they came across the wreckage.
They told 7NEWS the impact sent the car’s engine flying about 20 metres, sparking a small fire.
“We ran out to go down, have a look at what was going on and there were just two people just coming out in hysterics,” Williams said.

The pair said one of the surviving boys appeared to be in shock and was unable to speak, while the other seemed to be in shock and was “screaming and crying”.
Williams described the scene as horrific, with debris scattered across the road.
“You had to walk a few metres into the bush to actually see the car,” he said.
“It was just blood dripping out the car ... it was horrible.”
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said the BMW had been stolen and speed was believed to be a factor in the crash.
“One could only imagine, given the state of the car and I believe it was on its roof, had rolled over. Speed was almost certainly a factor,” Blanch said on Sunday.
“It’s amazing that anyone walked away from that crash. We know that the crash involved also a fire that started in the brush where it crashed, so it could have been even worse.”

Friends have since taken to social media to mourn the boys, remembering them as “a light to everyone”.
“I can’t believe you boys are gone,” one friend wrote.
“You guys were such a light to everyone ... will forever hold onto the memories we had.
“Praying on the other two that they make it out of this, love and thoughts go out to all the families involved.”

Flowers and handwritten tributes have also been left at the crash site.
The tragedy has sparked criticism on social media over the boys’ involvement in the crash, with some questioning why they were in the car.
A sibling of one of the deceased boys defended their brother against the criticism, saying he was “just trying to fit in with everyone else”.

WA Police Minister Reece Whitby described the crash as “gut-wrenchingly tragic”.
“These kids did a very silly thing, it looks like, and two have paid with their lives. It is incredibly tragic, gut-wrenchingly tragic,” he said.
Major crash investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
