Oakford: Six people, including baby, taken to hospital after crash at Nicholson Road, Thomas Road intersection

Six people — including a baby — have been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Perth’s south. First responders rushed to the scene after reports of a multi-car collision at the intersection of Nicholson Road and Thomas Road, in Oakford, about 11.50am on Wednesday. Two children — a baby boy and a girl under 10 years old — were rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital, there condition remains unknown at this time. One woman, aged in her 30s, was transported to Royal Perth Hospital under lights and sirens but just before 7pm on Wednesday it was revealed she was in a stable condition. A man and woman, both in their 30s, were also in a stable condition inside the RPH trauma unit. Another man, aged in his 30s, who was transported to Fiona Stanley Hospital, was also in a stable condition on Wednesday evening. The RAC Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene, but it was stood down. Nicholson Road has been closed in both directions at Thomas Road and Foxton Drive. Main Roads is urging motorists to seek an alternate route with heavy congestion in the area.
