After receiving a request to change trading hours from Woolworths, the Shire of Katanning is seeking feedback from the community on public holiday retail trading.

Aside from Good Friday and Christmas Day, the Shire is considering allowing trading from 10am to 5pm on all public holidays with the exception of Anzac Day when the proposed trading hours are 12pm to 5pm.

The Shire is seeking feedback from individuals and businesses in the community with a focus on the retail and trading sectors.

Council will close submissions on April 20 before making an application to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety to extend trading hours.

Submission should be made in writing to admin@katanning.wa.gov.au or PO Box 130, Katanning, 6317.
