Katanning Lions Club is all set to hold the first annual Concert in the Park on Saturday.

The concert has been in the works for almost two years and will take place at Piesse Lake Amphitheatre from 4-9pm. With the concert coming in at a price tag of about $20,000, the event has received support from the Shire of Katanning, Lotterywest, Healthway, Katanning H Hardware, CBH Group, Brookfield Rail, Katanning Reticulation and Pump Supplies, Katanning Plant Hire and more.

The main attraction to the concert is Ray Ryder, who will be performing as part of his Bringin’ it to the Country tour.

He will also be holding a workshop at the amphi-theatre at 9am on Sunday for all budding musicians.

The concert is set to be so big that organisers have already locked in Perth band Murphy’s Lore as the main act for next year’s event, which is set to be held in February 2018.
