Two teenagers have been charged by police accused of violently destroying a door to a ticket booth at the Wagin Showgrounds. A 13-year-old and 15-year-old were charged with criminal damage after a large hole was forcibly kicked through in a door of a ticket office building at the showgrounds about 1pm on Sunday, November 13. Wagin officer in charge Sergeant Simon Bickers said the incident didn’t happen during an event and believed the pair just “wanted something to damage”. “One offender had an e-scooter on charge inside the booth. The door was not locked and was easily accessible and neither provided a reason why they did it,” he said. Both juveniles received written cautions.
