Over Easter weekend in 2021, Luke David Fawcett murdered his next door neighbour Maree Collins for no apparent reason.

He then murdered her brother Wayne Johnson, who had come to check on his sister.

The details of their murders, and the things he did during, in between and after the crimes sent shivers up the spine of everyone in the courtroom, with Judge Jennifer Smith describing the crimes as sustained, brutal and merciless.

The West Australian’s Police Editor Shannon Hampton was inside the courtroom.

She joins Court in the Act host Tim Clarke as they go step-by-step through the details of the chilling crimes.
