Clear issues
The Eagles are behind in disposals, clearances and tackles.
The only times they’ve troubled the Hawks is when they’ve been able to lay tackles but otherwise, it’s been very easy for the Hawks.
Gunston is also dominant with the Eagles taking back position and allowing him to come at the ball unchecked.
He’s feasting with three already.

Much needed
Milan Murdock has given the Eagles their first goal after Hawthorn kicked the first three of the contest.
The Eagles stopped the Hawks escaping the middle through good tackle pressure and Murdock was able to escape with the crumbs and boot through a goal on the run.

Duursma has started today’s match at half back.
He has also pushed up towards the back of the stoppage at times.

McQualter
The Eagles coach has addressed the crowd and thanked them for coming out but acknowledges it’s been a tough year for the group.
He also said there will be some tough conversations this week as the club look to imporve over the off-season.
Hugs all round
The playing group has got around veteran Jamie Cripps pre-game and many stopped for a hug with with as they ran onto the ground with the forward having announced his retirement.
Star forward Jake Waterman also led his young sons Reif and Lance through the banner with the team.
300
The Hawks will celebrate a milestone tonight with Jack Gunston playing game 300.

Goalkicking
The Eagles have been doing plenty of set shot practise as it’s cost them more than a few games this year.
Cooper Duff-Tytler has struggled in front of goals in game but looked fine in practise.
It’s all in the head for most of them so a few majors today will do a world of good heading into the off-season.
