Ugly start
The Eagles are back to their turnover ways.
They’ve missed everything from 15-metre kicks to two-metre handballs.
But they’ve been able to stop Port from making them pay for it, for now.

QT: West Coast 18, Port Adelaide 24
We look to have another ripping contest on our hands.
Both teams are playing with strong tackle pressure and the midfield stars are eager to assert themselves at every chance.
Kelly has started well for the Eagles again while six of the top seven ball winners are wearing blue and gold.
However, the Power are holding them up and scoring with ease going forward.
The only times West Coast have stopped them is when they’ve gone long and high and allowed Ginbey to intercept.
The Eagles lead the centre clearances five to two put are down 8-10 overall.

Too easy
Port Adelaide look very strong in their forward 50.
They are lowering the eyes and avoiding high balls. And it’s working wonders.
They are scoring at 70 per cent and it’s off the back of very good forward 50 pressure.

Jooobe
The Eagles have three, and the lead back.

Bo on it
Allan kicks the Eagles’ second after Cochrane put the Power on the board.
West Coast’s pressure is on fire at the moment and they are forcing errors from the Power.
Allan directed that one the whole way, calling for Waterman to set the kick so he could run at it.
And so he did with a strong mark and set shot at the end of it.

On the board!
West Coast strike first!
Reid won the ground ball at the edge of the 50 and bought enough time for his teammates to get loose.
Waterman tried to be cute with an inboard kick and fluffed it but it went behind Cole where Hough was waiting to clean it up and he snaps truly.

Here we go!
Reid, Yeo, Kelly and Williams take the first throw upm and Williams wins with ease but Horne-Francis got the ball.

Huge roar
Brandon Starcevich gets the biggest roar as he is introduced to the Eagles fans for the first time in blue and gold.
Milan Murdock and Reuben Ginbey also got big cheers.
No sign of any lemons yet, thankfully.
Banners back
After the nasty weather meant banners were stowed last week, both teams are back with them this week.
West Coast’s celebrates the fight against MND and Neale Daniher’s legacy while Port Adelaide’s says “From Alberton Oval to Australia’s West, Power will strike the Eagles’ nest”.
No late changes
Both teams are going into this one as named as they go through the extended pre-game warm up.
