Hundreds of AC Milan fans and members of the Croatian community turned out in force to welcome star Luka Modric to Crown Perth ahead of the team’s match against Inter on Wednesday.

The exclusive appearance by one of international football’s most famous faces was held in the Crown Perth Sports Bar and hosted by David Berrie.

Modric was joined on stage with fellow AC Milan players Ardon Jashari and Zachary Athekame for a Q&A.

AC Milan legends Christian Panucci and Serginho were also in attendance who gave out autographs and posed for photos with fans who were kitted out in the team colours.

The stars are in town for the Calcio Italiano festival which will see four iconic Italian clubs — AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, and Palermo — battle it out across three blockbuster matches at Optus Stadium and HBF Park from August 5 to August 11.

The Milano Derby will kick off at 7pm at Optus Stadium.
